As researchers aim for universal AI disclosure guidelines, the devil is in the details

Researchers, publishers and ethicists are grappling with when, how and why to disclose the use of AI in scientific work.

My story for Science from the World Conference on Research Integrity.

Comments

  1. “A proposal is projected onto the conference room screen: “Researchers should disclose AI idea generation, even when none of those ideas are ultimately included in the final manuscript.” Dozens of attendees walk over to a sign marked “strongly disagree”; a few stand firm under the sign for “strongly agree.” The room erupts in uncomfortable laughter.”
“The only thing we need to know is that AI was used and the authors take responsibility. The rest seems like a waste of time,” Adya Misra.

So how much time does it take to realize that we are all not walking correctly!

Fortunately, there is a group of scientists who have realized this:

The only thing for sure is that due to Human Nature and not necessary Human Needs, things are not going in the right direction when it comes to AI [Vibe Coding, Vibe Literature, Vibe Teaching, Vibe Science, Vibe Human!, …].

  2. Great post, really informative and well explained how AI is changing presentation design. It clearly shows the importance of smart visuals in modern communication.

For ready-made designs, Artificial intelligence powerpoint templates are a great option to create professional and impactful presentations quickly. Thanks for sharing such useful insights!
